Cortland Housing Authority (NY)
Position: Executive Director
Description: The Cortland Housing Authority (NY) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced candidate to lead the agency and manage its budget of $2.1 million. Its portfolio includes 380 Public Housing units, 306 Housing Choice Vouchers. Effective written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated successful staff supervision and development; effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, are required. Progressive management experience in public and affordable housing; demonstrated knowledge of ethical and regulatory requirements applicable to publicly funded housing; knowledge and understanding of equitable human resource practices; strong understanding of finance, community development, public administration or a closely related field; and computer proficiency preferred. The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check. Public Housing Administration (PHM) certification is required within one year of employment. Salary range is $80,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience and education. Benefits package includes retirement, health insurance, and paid vacation and sick leave. EOE
